Session 7 | The Seven Churches of Revelation | Laodicia
The final part of the letter is addressed to the Church in Laodicea. The letter is full of rebuke as the Christians there are accused of being lukewarm and that they are about to be spat out and yet they are still loved by God. They are called to repent and stop being self sufficient and recognise their spiritual poverty. God calls us still to rely on him today and love him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
Some questions you may want to consider:
1) How would you assess the temperature of your faith currently and what is affecting that in your life at the moment?
2) What do we learn about the character of Jesus?
3) How can we guard against self sufficiency?
4) How do we grow in the practice of dependence on God?
