Session 2 & 3 | The Seven Churches of Revelation | Smyrna & Pergamon
Jesus’ close friend John, now in his old age, is writing a God inspired “school report” for seven churches that he has known personally. All seven churches see the reports for themselves and everyone else. Does the peer pressure / accountability to improve help? What does it mean for us?
What might Satan use to cause you harm? The internet? Other things? Reading the Screwtape letters by C.S.Lewis might open your eyes to methods of distraction used. Has your lifestyle slipped from God’s best? Repent! And know forgiveness. After all God loves you 100% independent of what you do (see all age link). Expect ridicule and suffering for your faith. Remain faithful and get help – church, church “community groups”, christian friendships etc. Keep at good spiritual disciplines.
Look up the bible references given throughout on the slides (John 1:42, Revelation 20:15 & 21:27) and reread Revelation 1 and 2.
