Session 4 | The Seven Churches of Revelation | Thyatira

The message from John to Thyatira was ‘I know you are doing some good things, and have faith love and perseverance. But I also know you are being influenced to be involved in compromising your faith by eating food dedicated to idols and being involved in sexual immorality. To those who are standing firm, hold firm until I come again.’

Some questions to consider:
1. What do you think the good deeds would have looked like?
2. Why do you think God was so concerned about people being influenced by false teaching?
3. Bernice talked about 3 different types of false teaching she has seen – the prosperity gospel, that Jesus was just a holy man and salvation by works alone. What other types can you think of or have seen in your life?
4. What would a letter to Bromsgrove look like? What praise or admonishment would it contain?
