Session 2 | Godly Women of the Old Testament | Ruth

The Lord be with you and the Lord bless you.  During this service, we talked about blessing as we looked at Ruth Chapter 2, we see blessings occurring 3 times within the passage: Boaz blesses his workers, and Boaz blesses Ruth for her loyalty and Naomi blesses Boaz for his goodness.  We see Provider God providing for the Naomi and Ruth in their need for the basics of food.  Ruth is able to glean grain freely and happens by chance to pick the field of Boaz. God provides for food and food in abundance, and we know this chance encounter is laying the foundations for future provision.  Bernice talked about modern day gleaning, and more information can be found here: Gleaning Network – Fighting Food Waste Across the UK.  We can all do our part by giving whatever we can to foodbanks or other charities to help those in need and also by being wise about what we buy.
